The mirror shows the reflection of truth.

• It only shows goodness;

• It shows only strength not defeat. (“You can’t make me less than beautiful because I was born with the light of Christ.”)

The Lord watches over and protects and it’s not expected but just truth. How can Nephi’s words not support this?

• “The tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.” 1 Nephi 1:20

The tender mercies of the Lord comfort, help, protect, and cause mighty success. Looking back over hard times in the mirror shows faith and being blessed with the power of deliverance to overcome defeat. Truly faith is the most important quality  have.
