I know in whom I trust.

My God is my support. He has and does lead me through afflictions.

Many times he fills me with his love, even unto tears.

He knows the feelings of my heart.

He enlightens my mind with many thoughts.

As I ponder, study or pray he surrounds me with His love and gives me much knowledge.

Upon the wings of his Spirit he carries me away to exceedingly high places.

I understand many, many things.

He is immediately in my life, because he’s always with me.

100% faith causes me to have many “consider the lilies” moments.

O then, if I understand and experience so many great things, if the Lord visits me in so much mercy, why do I let my heart weep and my soul linger in the valley of sorrow, and my flesh waste away, and my strength slacken, because of my afflictions? Why do I let the evil one have place in my heart to destroy my peace and afflict my soul? Why do I let myself get angry or feel sad because of my enemy?

Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin.

Rejoice in my heart, and give place no more for the enemy of my soul.

Do not anger again because of my enemies.

Do not slacken my strength because of my afflictions.

Live in complete righteousness!

Pray, “Lord, I praise thee forever; my soul rejoices in thee. Thou art forever my God, and the rock of my salvation.”

Lord, thank you for redeeming my soul.

Thank you for delivering me from death and hell.

Thank you for promising me eternal life because my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite! 

Thank you for opening the gates of thy righteousness before me, that I may be holy!

Thank you for encircling me in the robe of thy righteousness!

Thank you for making my path straight!

Thank you for clearing my way before me, and hedging up the ways of my enemy.

Lord, I trust thee forever and do not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that puts his trust in the arm of flesh. As Nephi says, “Cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm.”

Thou does give me the things for which I pray. Thou does know my heart and what I need before even asking. My voice forever ascends unto thee, my rock and my everlasting God. Amen.
