Scripture references regarding the heart range from evil in men’s hearts and people turning away from goodness people loving good things with all their hearts and being blessed by divinity.

In relating this topic to myself, I’ve just lived my life but my heart has always turned toward God. A scripture in Moses says that children (conceived in sin; fallen) eventually conceive sin and then the scripture says, “they taste the bitter, that they may know to prize the good.”

We all have gravitated toward bitterness in decisions made at some point in our lifetimes, and sometimes we have risen above bitterness by having courage and doing what makes us happy. Bitterness provides contrast. I love knowing that bitterness isn’t what matters but our potential.
