At the last General Conference (April 2021) President Nelson called for us to increase our faith. He said,
Through your faith, Jesus Christ will increase your ability to move the mountains in your life, even though your personal challenges may loom as large as Mount Everest.
I’ve always had faith in Jesus Christ and believe in Him completely, but at one time I wondered, “Would the Lord actually move mountains in my life?”
I didn’t want to be arrogant and think the Lord would do great things for me because He was perfect God — way up there — and I was a puny human — way down here — and why would Great God ever want to help weak, imperfect me?
Then I got sick with MS and needed the strength and comfort of my Lord. He comforted me when I was scared, strengthened me in many personal ways and never left my side as I faced my “new normal” (which is the hardest trial of my life.)
He showed me my faith and increased my self-worth by reminding me of my qualities and divine nature. The divine grace of Jesus Christ moved the mountains in my life that afflicted me (I know from personal experience.)
Miracles of the Divine Grace (Atonement) of Jesus Christ:
- As my personal Savior, Jesus Christ strengthens me with power beyond my own to overcome my weaknesses.
- With my hand in His, Jesus Christ helps me overcome my trials, weaknesses and addictions by enlightening my mind with new ideas, by showing me things in a different way, by increasing my understanding, and by giving me personal knowledge.
- Whenever repenting (turning to the Lord and confessing my sins) Jesus Christ forgives me…every time. Repenting is starting over in a better way and He encourages me in doing better by giving me resolve, happiness, and freedom from my sins.
- Jesus Christ comforts me with His divine power and I know He is there whenever I reach out to Him.
The Divine Grace (Atonement) of Jesus Christ is a miracle! As President Nelson said,
Moving your mountains may require a miracle. Learn about miracles. Miracles come according to your faith in the Lord.
The Lord is so very good, and is my rock and my everlasting God.
