Elder Bednar spoke about hearts in his talk entitled “Let This House Be Built unto My Name.” I love his mention of how the Lord goes about his work regarding me (and all of us):

The essence of the Lord’s work is changing, turning, and purifying hearts through gospel covenants and priesthood ordinances.

Elder Bednar said what I can do:

Our primary focus should be on the covenants and ordinances that can change our hearts and deepen our devotion to the Savior.

Sacred temple covenants and ordinances can strengthen us and purify our hearts as we “Hear Him!” and receive the power of godliness in our lives.

To me, these quotes guide my focus to affect my eternal life.
