On this day in America is the Thanksgiving holiday, a day of doing two things: First, expressing gratitude; Second, remembering kind blessings our forefathers (Pilgrims) received from Native Americans the first year of living in America-that without generosity from Native Americans in sharing food with Pilgrims they would have starved, and paying it forward by sharing bounty with others and being kind.
A wonderful mentor encouraged seeing beauty in the world and not only being grateful in general but also being grateful for what’s easily taken for granted (sight) because simple things in life are miraculous gifts. Life is how it is viewed and focusing on gratitude allows seeing good things. Goodness is everywhere it’s just a matter of seeing it.
Today I’m grateful for:
- All good things
My heart is full of thankfulness and love.
