What does 100% faith look like: It looks like believing in possibilities (not just wishing) and doing what it takes to make dreams come true. It looks like miracles. It looks like, when feeling the spirit, knowing that they feel it, too. It looks like doing hard things, and giving all. It looks like coming […]
I love the idea that every state of being has accompanying laws. No laws exist without an accompanying state of being and no state of being exists without accompanying laws. Spiritually speaking: All kingdoms (states of mind) have a law given; And there are many kingdoms (states of mind); for there is no space (law) […]
I love the statement, “It’s a consider the lilies moment” and that it implies having complete faith and trust in God doing right by me; He knows what I need before I ask. 100% faith and trust in God is knowing that He gives me the best and that He blesses me, as I ask […]
In the last twelve years I’ve known, intimately, that if I don’t move fast I get left behind. People want to keep their pace and if I’m slow it cramps their style. That means me having no friends and doing things alone, at my own pace. That’s just how life is and for me it […]
Having the faith to move mountains for others is easy because I’d gladly help move mountains for them. Helping others is noble but so is increasing my own faith. The idea of having faith isn’t selfish by thinking of myself but is trusting and relying on the Lord and letting Him into my life to […]
I love the inspirational words of President Monson’s talk “Stand in Holy Places” and have watched this talk at least 50 times. one thing that strikes me is how faith and trust go hand in hand. (I have faith that it can happen and then trust that it WILL happen.) President Monson never mentioned faith but several times he mentioned […]
Sometimes life gets so busy that I don’t have down time. It’s okay, life happens. But during my busy day I can always take a moment (or moments) to reflect, ponder, meditate and collect myself. I might not have time to do something grand but I can always take a moment to think about things […]
The title runs through my mind this morning and I am reminded of my blog post originally written on July 8, 2019: The day will soon be when Saints will reject the world’s philosophies to embrace God’s holiness. (It will be easy because every Saint knows holiness.) Men will be leaders of righteousness, women will […]
These words run through my mind this morning and are my greatest wish for the world: A Gaelic Blessing Deep peace of the running wave to you. Deep peace of the flowing air to you. Deep peace of the quiet earth to you. Deep peace of the shining stars to you. Deep peace of the […]
Sometimes I feel inadequate and worry, then my thoughts get away from me and I begin feeling anxious. What can I do to calm down and refocus when I feel anxious? The Lord helps me through the example of others in the scriptures: Nephi worried: Even though the Lord had been so very good to him, […]
Spiritual things are the center but it’s up to me to start from the center or start my day somewhere else and wander throughout the day on “strange paths.” At one time I felt melancholy and then thought, “Read the scriptures and be not moved.” At another time I felt gloomy and sad thoughts ran […]
The 23rd Psalm means so much to me while having MS. During the first couple of years of having MS my world was greatly shaken up. I felt very transparent and that people could see right thru me. All my skills had left me and I became like a child who had aged 40 years. […]
This morning’s plan was cleaning out my closet: Throw away things no longer wanted and organize new stuff. But I knew I was done two seconds after being in there. What occurred to me in the two seconds was how most of my clothes didn’t reflect “me.” (The old clothes will be replaced with new […]
At the last General Conference (April 2021) President Nelson called for us to increase our faith. He said, Through your faith, Jesus Christ will increase your ability to move the mountains in your life, even though your personal challenges may loom as large as Mount Everest. I’ve always had faith in Jesus Christ and believe […]
President Nelson said at the last General Conference (April 2021): The Lord does not require perfect faith for us to have access to His perfect power. But He does ask us to believe. I’m not sure anyone can have perfect faith in this life: Power to create worlds; Power to manipulate physical things but I […]
