Defending Against Oppression

In this day and age bad is popular and good isn’t. Even some officials – who are supposed to serve *everyone* – support bad things because they want power over the public. Good people promise to defend what’s good and they prove their loyalty by showing their defense of those things. They protect themselves from opposing mental, emotional, and/or physical attacks by knowing who they are, strongly withstanding the bad and not getting swayed by negativity. Life nowadays is truly a storm and we are bombarded by fiery darts but we have resolve.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

“And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.”
