Drowning out the noise around me to only focus on the coach helps me seriously succeed. Imaginary blinders block everyone out except him and me. “You’ve got this! You can do it!” he says and so with focus and determination I give my all.
I don’t say a word but just look ahead, unapologetically and with resolve, and work to reach my goal. I don’t need anyone’s approval and so smile and say “No thanks” to distractions. The coach tells me the plan and what winning takes and in my focused state I work on myself and ignore anything that could subtly nudge me off course. My goal is succeeding and with hard work, persistence and dedication I will.
