The scriptures are personal. What are they saying to me? Two people can read the same words but take from them totally different things. That’s the beauty of the scriptures: They were written thousands of years ago and everyone reads the same thing, but the meanings are individual.

A wise man once said to liken the scriptures to yourself – in other words, match the words to my life so I identify with them. So, in what way do the scriptures identify with me? I read them. I take the advice and apply it to my life. I know that Heavenly Father is trying to help me. I am happy.
