The mirror shows me the reflection of my true self. For my entire life I’ve only ever seen myself as a good person.

• I’m grateful for only ever seeing my goodness;

• I’m thankful that no matter what happens to me I won’t be defeated. (“You can’t make me less than beautiful because I was born with the light of Christ.”)

For my entire life I’ve known that the Lord watches over and protects me. I don’t expect it but just know it’s true. How can Nephi’s words not ring in my ears?

• “The tender mercies of the Lord are over all those whom he hath chosen, because of their faith, to make them mighty even unto the power of deliverance.” 1 Nephi 1:20

I’m grateful for the tender mercies of the Lord in comforting, helping and protecting me, and for making me mighty to succeed. Looking back over the hard times in my life shows me my faith and the many times I’ve been blessed with the power of deliverance to overcome what seeks to defeat me. Truly faith is the most important quality I can have.
