Today’s Sacrament Meeting was so good as the speakers highlighted parts of Elder Raspband’s talk, Recommended to the Lord. What I loved best was hearing that it’s not about me being in the Temple but the Temple being in me. The gist of Elder Raspband’s talk is that circumstances in my life may change at any time but my heart always reflects the true me and being recommended to the Lord means me having a current Temple Recommend that allows entering the Lord’s house at any time to worship Him in the highest form possible.

I love the reminder of being recommended to the Lord because it causes me to focus spiritually. I may work in the world to provide for my physical needs but the most important work I can do is aligning the inner workings of my heart with the Lord, and a proof of my work is shown in the form of my Temple Recommend.

Is my Temple Recommend current?

• No: Perhaps my heart needs inner work.
• Yes: Seems like I am focusing spiritually.

BUT the true status of my Temple Recommend is personal, it’s between me and the Lord.
