The more my ability decreases the further my gratitude increases. My latest gratitude is for basic things like sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.
In all the ways my abilities have decreased in the last few years, since driving again my driving ability has never diminished and I can still take myself on rides which is truly a blessing!!
On another note, my mind is clear, my thinking is active and what a tremendous gift is learning, studying, understanding and becoming!! Optimism is my frame of mind that has developed in me over time and when looking back I clearly see blessings.
What can I be except grateful when so many good things are in my life? Yes, life is full of challenges, trials, unfairness and drama but life is also full of blessings, kindness, love and goodness. The question is, “Where is my focus?”
I love the phrase “What you focus on is what you get” because my life is created by my focus. Someone greatly revered said, “Change your life and everything changes“; it seems too simple but I can attest that it’s true.
For me trials used to become complaints and opportunities to see the worst but my trials have caused much growth in me to where now trials are ways for me to focus on good things in my life. Like I said, “What you focus on is what you get.”
