This year the Atonement of Jesus Christ hit me hard-that He: suffered for my sins in Gethsemane, died on the cross at Calvary and rose from the tomb on the third day of His death, signifying His victory over the grave-because my words cannot adequately express my gratitude for Him doing it all for me.

First, because of Jesus Christ’s Atonement after I die I will live again as a resurrected, immortal soul. Second, because of Jesus Christ’s Atonement His divine power helps me overcome my weaknesses so that I’ll grow as a person and become Holy, like Him. These words from the hymn “I Stand All Amazed” express my feelings:

I think of his hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt!
Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget?
No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat,
Until at the glorified throne I kneel at his feet.

Oh, it is wonderful that he should care for me
Enough to die for me!
Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me!
