This morning I awoke with this thought in my mind: Mother in heaven is holiness exemplified. The idea occurred to me that she isn’t seen and is totally not of the world. Then it occurred to me that I forsake the world’s corruption to embrace God’s holiness.
It’s not that I forsake the beauty of the world but only it’s corruption. I embrace everything good and goodness surrounds me. My mantra is I invite everything good into my life and ignore everything bad and know that as I declare it, and totally believe it in my heart and mind, so it is.
For the beauty of the earth
By Folliott S. Pierpoint
For the beauty of the earth
For the beauty of the skies
For the love which from our birth
Over and around us lies
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
For the beauty of the hour
Of the day and of the night
Hill and vale and tree and flower
Sun and moon and stars of light
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
For the joy of human love
Brother, sister, parent, child
Friends on earth and friends above
For all gentle thoughts and mild
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
For each perfect gift of thine
To our race so freely given
Graces human and divine
Flowers of earth and buds of heaven
Lord of all, to thee we raise
This our hymn of grateful praise
