I felt bummed and thought bummer things. Only listen to the Lord repeated again and again in my mind and I thought ya but He’s not talking, the adversary is. Then it occurred to me, the adversary’s voice is very pronounced in your mind because you listen to him all the time. The Lord’s voice is still and small. Ignore bummer thoughts and feel peace. Don’t get wrapped up in sadness. (Sadness is the Adversary’s greatest tool to control me.) The adversary is bound when I don’t listen to him therefore I choose to only listen to the Lord. When the Lord comes again I will recognize Him because I will be like Him.

Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.

Philosophical thoughts: Listening to the adversary is living in the past and listening to the Lord is living in the present moment. The adversary causes me to remember past events which make me feel melancholy and bummed, but when I ignore sadness I think about happy things and possibilities.
